Join & Death Announcements
How the server announces that you arrive — and how it announces that you died.
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/join | Message and sound on join |
/death | Message and sound on death |
Both open a menu where you pick from preset texts and assign a sound to them.
The Sounds
Over 35 sounds to choose from — from subtle to unmistakable:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Subtle | Noteblock pling, experience orb, level up |
| Animal | Cat, wolf, fox, llama spit |
| Festive | Firework, villager cheer, totem |
| Epic | Ender dragon, wither spawn, beacon |
| Loud | Explosion, anvil, glass, blaze |
The same selection is available for both joining and dying — so you can arrive quietly and die loudly.
Both are pure cosmetics. There is no advantage, no statistic, and no impact on any system. Available from certain ranks — see Magic Market.
You can mute other players' join sounds regardless of your rank with /joinsounds off. Your own sound selection remains rank‑locked.
Muting Other Players' Join Sounds
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/joinsounds off | Mute other players' join sounds, including Ender dragon sounds |
/joinsounds on | Hear other players' join sounds again |
/joinsounds status or /joinsounds | Show your saved setting |
You don't need a rank for this. Wait for the save confirmation; if an error occurs, check the status again later. The toggle affects future join sounds, not death sounds or other players' sound choices. A sound that has already played will not be stopped retroactively.
The command is not a moderation mute. More toggles can be found under personal settings.
