Sign items with dedication, name, and date — copy‑protected and tradable as collectibles.
Signing Items
/sign <Text> immortalizes you on the item in your hand: your text, plus rank, name and date as a signature line. A diamond sword becomes a unique piece — as a gift, tournament prize, or keepsake.
Protection included
Signed items are copy‑protected:
- Signed banners cannot be duplicated in the loom
- Signed paintings and blocks return exactly your signed original when mined — no copy
- The smithing table, cartography table and grindstone will not accept signed items
The item's stats remain untouched — enchantments, durability and special data survive the signature.
Locking
/sign lock makes you the permanent owner: after that only you can remove the signature (/sign delete) or unlock it (/sign unlock). You can still give it away — but no one can rewrite it.
Signed items from well‑known players are their own collection category in theHandel — a signed sword from a tournament winner tells a story that a fresh item never could.
