Elevators
Probably the cheapest comfort on the server. You don't need to craft anything or use a command.
Building
Place a Redstone Block and put a Quartz Block directly on top of it. Done — that's an elevator floor.
[ Quartz Block ] ← this is where you stand
[ Redstone Block ]
For each additional floor, repeat this at the same spot higher or lower. The floors must be exactly vertically aligned — same X and Z coordinates.
Riding
| Input | Effect |
|---|---|
| Jump | One floor up |
| Sneak | One floor down |
When you stand on a floor, a boss bar will show that you are in an elevator.
Good to know
- There is no height limit. The same shaft works from bedrock up to build height.
- No shaft required. Massive stone can be between the floors — you are teleported, not moved.
- If you break either of the two blocks, that specific floor drops out of the chain. The others remain.
- On other people's plots normal building rules apply.
It saves a huge amount of time for mines and towers — and unlike water elevators it works the same in the Nether.
