Prestige
Reset a maxed skill or job and keep a permanent XP bonus in return.
Prestige
Prestige is for those who have maxed out a skill or job and still want to keep going.
/prestige opens the overview.
How it works
A skill at Level 400 or a job at Level 100 can be reset. You start from zero and receive a star for it.
Each star permanently grants more XP — for all skills, not just the reset one.
| Stars | Bonus per star |
|---|---|
| 1 to 10 | +5 % |
| from 11 | +1 % |
The break at ten is intentional: without it the bonus would scale up on its own, and the first prestiges would be the most valuable for those already ahead.
The ceremony
A prestige is visible. Full-screen title, sound sequence, fireworks, server announcement. The first star of a skill triggers a longer display.
Prestigeactually resets the skill. Level 400 becomes Level 0. The star remains forever, the progress does not. Consider beforehand whether you currently need the skill.
Until recently the threshold was at Level 100, even though the skill cap was already at 400. That was a configuration mistake — prestige after a quarter of the way was never intended.
